This year The Dancers Company celebrates its 30th anniversary of touring regional Australia, and is marking this milestone with this exciting new version of the lively ballet classic, staged by international international ballet stalwart, Ai-Gul Gaisina.
Based on Spanish author Cervantes' legendary tale, the lush and exuberant production takes the audience back to 17th century Spain, and follows the story of chivalrous knight Don Quixote, who crosses swords with windmills and crosses paths with two lovers while on a quest to find his lost love. This light-hearted and colourful ballet features a rich diversity of characters, including young lovers Basilio and Kitri, and involves elements of mischief and mistaken identity that will leave a smile on your face.
