The Gondoliers was first performed in 1889 and tells the story of two handsome and gallant gondoliers, Marco and Guiseppe Palmieri. It describes, hilariously, the confusion at the hands of their drunken father, entrusted to bring up, incognito, the Prince of Barataria but who eventually forgets which boy is his son and which is the prince.
When the Duke and Duchess of Plaza-Toro arrive with their daughter, Casilda, who was married when she was only six months old to the infant prince, much mayhem ensues.
Come along to find out how the tale unfolds and enjoy a superb evening of fun and laughter.
