One sits at the piano like a spider, spinning blackly humoured tales of deliciousness and woe. One breathes offerings of sweet reply. One concurs with twirling body; her dance laced with story and thought. The last twists the plot with her cello and bow. Do you dare to join their tiny conspiracy?
Back by popular demand, Bird Wizdom's Tiny Conspiracy is returning to Nexus Cabaret for one night only! This dark and delicious piece of cabaret theatre had its acclaimed, sell-out debut at the 2010 Cabaret Fringe Festival in La Boheme. This built on an already-successful year for the multi-talented Bird Wizdom folk, after they performed at Nexus Cabaret to packed houses adn rave reviews during Adelaide Fringe 2010.
The brainchild of Adelaide-based talent Anya Anastasia, AKA Anya McNicol-Windram, Bird Wizdom produces carnivalesque music, accompanied by belly dancers, acrobats and other sideshow oddities!
Like a night in the circus Big Top, a thrilling film noir and all of Bird Wizdom's previous stage show extravaganzas, Tiny Conspiracy promises to be another spectacular spectacular.
Theatre meets comedy, then falls over, is immersed in musicality and is held together at the core by wild and wonderful eccentric characters...
Rip It Up
Devilishly intriguing vocalist Anya McNicol-Windram weaves blackly-humoured tragic-comic tales... as if she were the carnival-raised offspring of Tom Waits and Cabaret's Sally Bowles.
