Adhocracy

A DIY, make 'n' show hothouse for artists, activities, culture jammers and voyeurs.

Director:

Cast: A variety of visual artists, bloggers, writers, digital artists and composers

Adhocracy is a two-day Vitalstatistix event for artists from all disciplines to come together and respond to challenges proposed by provocateurs.

The departure point - "Try not to hurt yourself, it's only art - both encapsulates the risky nature of all art and communicates gentle advice to the participants. An exciting pilot project with a view to expand into a full three day winter festival of creation in 2011, Adhocracy supports artists to create work in an inspiring, supportive and innovative environment.

With a curatorial team consisting of Emma Webb, Jennifer Greer Holmes, Edwin Kemp Atrill (producer), Steve Mayhew (mentor), Ianto Ware (consultant), Sam Rodgers and Sarah Dunn, Adhocracy is grass roots creation with the support of emerging and established artists. Visual artists, bloggers, writers, digital artists and composers will all be brought together by the event.

This massive mash-up of art-making will then be uncovered in a highly-charged, exciting evening of unravelling at Waterside Workers Hall to the general public.
