This is the fifth year that the "Rubys" have been held, and award entries were so strong that the judges decided to present individual prizes for best new work and best event. In addition, this is the inaugural year of the Geoff Crowhurst Memorial Award.

There are no listed nominees for the coveted Premier's lifetime achievement award - which will be announced, along with all 2010 winners, on Thursday 2 September 2010.
