Although ShoGo companies are busy delivering the 2010 season, they are already gearing up for some fabulous new projects for 2011...
One such project is a collaboration between Windmill Theatre and The Border Project. Set to premiere as part of Come Out 2011, this production will be 'choose your own adventure' theatre where you control the action. Through specially designed 'zigzag' wireless interactive controllers (which act like Wii remotes), you will be able to make choices throughout the show deciding what characters choose to do, wear and more.
This collaboration is being created specially for a generation fluent in interactivity. The Border Project developed zigzag interactive theatre technology with Matthew Gardiner for their multi award-wining work Trouble on Planet Earth in 2007. No two shows will be the same, and this not-to-be-missed new theatre work is perfect for family audiences.
Co-Opera is celebrating 20 years of activity in Australia, South East Asia and Europe with a Denim 'n' Diamonds Birthday Party. Come along for an evening that will include singing, dancing, a silent auction and party games.

ABC TV's Artscape program is featuring a full half hour program about Restless Dance Theatre works on Tuesday 29 June 2010 at 10pm. Necessary Games, a collection of three short dance films Restless created in collaboration with Closer Productions, has won numerous awards in various festivals throughout Australia and around the world. Each of the three films will be shown, along with interviews with the dancers, choreographers and filmmakers, giving insight into the inspiration and ideas that went into making these works.
Restless Dance Theatre is an exciting Adelaide-based company where non-verbal modes of dance are used as eloquent forms of self-expression. The three films that form Necessary Games - Moths, Sixteen and Necessary - showcase unique and compelling dance performances by people both with and without disabilities. The films deal with the subjects of dreams, desire and intimacy. Each work creates an emotional connection between the dancers and inspires physical acceptance and freedom of their diverse and, at times, surprising physicality.
Necessary Games has won the following awards: Best Experimental Short Film at the 2009 Melbourne International Film Festival, Best Short Film at the SA Screen Awards, Best Experimental Short Film at the 2009 Australian Teachers of Media Awards, Best Work for Sixteen at the ReelDance International Dance on Screen Festival and Best Experimental Short Film at the Brooklyn International Film Festival.
