Leigh Warren & Dancers (LWD) has established itself as a formidable force in both the national and international contemporary dance scene.
Led by Artistic Director Leigh Warren, the company has produced and toured many original dance works, worked with seminal Australian visual artists & musicians and collaborated with distinguished choreographers such as William Forsythe (Quick Brown Fox) and Japanese contemporary Butoh artist, Uno Man (Wanderlust).
From 2002-07 Leigh directed Philip Glass’s entire trilogy of ‘portrait operas’ – a world first.
The company has won many accolades including Australian Dance Awards, several Green Room Awards and - most recently - the 2008 Adelaide Fringe Best Dance Award for its preview season of Seven.
